Style Diary: What I Wore To Work

I get away with wearing fun dresses to work ‘cuz I work in fashion. One such dress is this leopard number which if worn alone looks pretty sexy with its cutout sleeves, but under a more official looking blazer, it quickly becomes more work appropriate.

Cut 25 blazer.  leopard dress by Fiori Di Zucca.  Chanel purse.  Suede fringed boots by  Go Max and necklace by Express. What I love about this blazer are the leather elbow pads.  It adds an interesting masculine touch to the otherwise, slim-fitting, feminine blazer. And ladies, I’m taking bids on this new Chanel purse!  It’s authentic and hardly used.  I simply fell in love with another and need to see if I can sell this…Leave a comment here with your email if you’re interested in it or need more photos and detail!

The best part of my day was that I came home with a free set of Chanel make-up brushes!  They were about to throw out this and another set exactly like it so my co-worker and I quickly offered to save them from the dumpster.  (they’re replacing the sample sets because a newer version and design is coming out).  I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand the thought of throwing away something so precious.  Here are my new take-home items!Click here for more Style Diary posts and here for more inspiration about what to wear to work!

Style Diary: Houndstooth

Isn’t this shoe closet amazing?  It’s Christina Aguilera’s.  Besides the fuschia, black white combo, what also caught my eye were the chandeliers and houndstooth.  I’m loving houndstooth these days.  Not knowing there was such a word to describe the pattern, my husband once described this print as the computerized digital print.  Haha he is so NOT into fashion.  Here’s my outfit which was inspired by the room above.

Here, I’m wearing a H&M dress with an exposed zipper in the back which you can’t see, a tuxedo blazer from Bebe’s clearance rack and heels by Zara.   The purse was cheap so I think the whole outfit only costed about $150.

Now if only I could replicate these nails…
