Style Diary: Tracy Reese Skirt and Ann Taylor Top

My mom fell in love with this Tracy Reese floral skirt on one of her many NYC visits, bought it for herself then couldn’t figure out what to wear with it.  In desperation and guilt, she gave it up and transferred the challenge over to me.

Here I am wearing it with a chambray, button-down shirt from Ann Taylor.

I thought that the leopard printed purse and shoes added a nice mix of patterns.  And I chose the lucite and silver necklace because I needed something simple and liked that it didn’t add any other color to this clash of patterns and color.  This was my casual work outfit.  What do you think?

Style Diary: 1 Striped Dress, 5 Ways

I found this amazing deal on this Sans Souci striped dress at Marshalls.  I think the dress was $19.99.  How could I resist?  Here, I’ve styled it 4 ways.

I added brooches to each end of this thrifted necklace, layered a v-neck sweater over the dress and carried my Juicy tote.  The flats were free from a styling job I did and are from H&M.

Here, I added my Brooklyn Industries black topper and styled it with my Esprit tote and Aldo flats.

This is the tote bag that I got as a free gift with purchase when I attended the Henri Bendel event

I think I like the above outfit the best.  What about you?  The cardigan is Sinclaire 10, the heels have bows and the polka dot purse is Aldo.
