Valentine’s Outfits For Every Kind Of Date

This year, Valentine’s day falls on a Friday! Do you have plans yet?  Well whatever your plans may be, I have some Valentine’s outfit inspiration for you along with shoppable links -but hurry because Valentine’s is just a week away!

CUBICLE TO COCKTAILS

If you’re planning to go directly from work to celebrate, you’ll need a professional look for the day that can easily transition to the evening.  This is easy to do by starting with a classic shift dress or suit (extra points if you can find one in a Valentine’s pink or red!)

DRESSED UP DINING

If your date has fancy plans up his sleeves and you’re expected to dress to the nines, make sure to wow him in a sexy stunner like this deep V-neck dress.  It’s sexy yet sophisticated and definitely a jaw-dropper.  It’s not your everyday dress.  And that’s what you’ll want for an occasion like this.  Make yourself memorable!

GALENTINES GATHERING

If you’re planning an outing with the girls, make it sweet and girly.  I love this baby blue maxi dress for its sheen and puff sleeves (a trend I’m absolutely obsessed with)!  Make sure to pair it with heels to avoid looking too prairie like and give it more of a high-fashion edge.  This dress from Other Stories has unfortunately sold out but below are inspired items in pink that I recommend for Valentines that you can still shop.

Below are some beautiful floral dress options!

Style Diary: Matching Mommy and Me Matching Dresses

After a blistering hot week in NY, Sunday was a breath of fresh air!  For our Sunday finest, Juliet and I dressed up in matching mommy and me dresses – coordinated outfits, I should say as these are not exact matches.  If you follow me, you know this is what I usually prefer.

The bright summery yellow is so cheery that it brightens my mood just wearing it!  My dress was found at TJMaxx and is by Calvin Klein ($34.99).  Hers was from Gymboree last year during their clearance for about $20 I think.

I accessorized with my Valentino purse (bought with Saks employee discount years ago) and a Rocksbox necklace.  J is wearing a dollar store beaded necklace which perfectly matched her pink bow shoes by QQ Girl.  (We’re now selling this through our Totspot account @fabgabblog!)

My shoes are Valentino rock stud pastel flats – such a perfect find for a NY mom-on-the-go!

After church we enjoyed the most delicious brunch at Olio e Piu, a trattoria known for their brick oven pizza.

The sauce was AMAZING!  So good it rivaled the best pizza we had in Italy!  I SO recommend this place – especially because the goat cheese mushroom and zucchini frittata that I also ordered was just as dreamy!

frittata It’s a great place to sit and people watch plus you’re surrounded by flowers at this restaurant!  Definitely grab a sidewalk seat and enjoy NY-ers passing you by.  Juliet couldn’t get enough of all the cute dogs she spotted.
