Style Diary: Black and White Fashions

I just bought myself my very first pre-loved bag through Avelle, otherwise known as Bag Borrow or Steal.  It’s a bold, black and white striped Chanel bag with the iconic chain strap.  And I absolutely adore it!

Here, I’m wearing a Forever 21 blouse, puff-sleeve black cardigan from H&M, Aldo shoes and a skirt from a Korean boutique.  I love the black and white top.  It’s very Chanel-inspired.

Trench coat shown below is by Sinclaire, an exclusive designer to Saks.

I love pairing black and white. Here’s another recent outfit.

Pictured above is an outfit I wore this past spring (weekend brunch):

  • striped blazer – H&M
  • lace tank – Forever 21
  • ruffled skirt – SP (bought at Daffy’s)
  • patent leather purse – Express
  • wedges – Temptation

Fashion Week

I was dead tired after dealing with Fashion’s Night Out and not getting enough beauty rest before a long day at fashion week but miraculously, the minute I walked into the Vivianne Tam fashion show, saw the wall of photographers, the seemingly mile-long white runway and the scene a buzzing with fashionistas from around the world it was like an immediate caffeine kick.  I was beyond energized.  When one of my friends surprisingly called out my name from the runway’s sidelines, I thought I would burst from excitement.
As soon as the lights dimmed and Denise Richards who sat across from me faded from my eyes and the music started pumping, so did my heart.   Here are pics of some of the celebs in attendance.  photo credit:  Getty Images

And here’s a clip of what I saw.
I’m loving the video wall next to the runway which allows for close-ups of the clothes as they come towards you down the runway.

The location at Lincoln Center is simply beautiful and the new tent setup being larger, allows for a garden lounge and feels less congested than ever.  I took lots of photos of the fabulous fashionistas out and about and will post them tomorrow.  For now, here’s a picture of me at the new 2010 September fashion week step and repeat.

Apparently I was dressed very classic, a la Banana Republic  ‘cuz Banana Republic’s reps came over to me and asked to shoot me and my outfit.  I’m now being considered for their next ad campaign where they’re featuring real-life fashionistas in their clothes i.e. non-models/real people.  How cool would that be?
