Back To School with MomTrends and NYC Bloggers
August for moms means back-to-school season. And that for us means shopping season! Making sure we are fully prepared for the non-stop needs of school season, MomTrends, recently invited me and other NYC mommy bloggers to join them in discussing trends of the season as well as viewing new products from some of the leading family-oriented brands.
It was a great networking event to connect with the brands while being a fun mom’s night out filled with manis, mini-fashion show, and mom-osas. (Thanks Natalie’s for the juice-infused prosecco!)

That’s the best part of back to school season, isn’t it? Tea Collection was on-site showcasing their latest fall collection, which of course, is all organic. Snapperrock, a swim-based company that offers UPF 50+ in all their swimwear, had some adorable daddy and me and mommy and me options that really caught my eye. ‘Cuz you know, how I just love twinning with my little!
#MomtrendsSchool also promoted beauty treatments, which for any busy mom can really feel like a luxury. I was thrilled to be able to catch up with a mom friend over our complimentary Mani or Pedi.com.
Did you know Mani or Pedi will meet you in the comforts of your own home or office? That’s a game-changer, right? And Vamousse, a company known for their lice treatments, sent their glam squad to help make us over. Thank YOU!
Our back to school education, continued as we made the rounds across the room and discovered Avery who had a fun, colorful collab with Amy Tangerine for rainbow-infused dividers, binders, and planners!
Comedic chef, George Duran represented Jarlsberg and offered tasty twists on the classic grilled cheese sandwich. I spun the wheel and won a truffle grilled cheese sandwich, which happened to be my favorite. And I also got inspired to add bacon, apricot jam or tomato to the traditional lunchtime goodie.
I was happy to see Stonyfield there because it’s such a trusted go-to for organic yogurts and smoothies. And I was thrilled to find they were launching snack packs for hungry kids on the go! Juliet is now seriously obsessed with their latest creations and asked for these everyday of dance camp! Pretzels packed with yogurt? Yes please!
Lastly, I loved seeing Mabels Labels because every mom needs to label their kid’s school items. And these personalized labels for shoes, clothes, water bottles, & lunch boxes are simply the best! Cute and customizable, they’re waterproof and dishwasher and microwave safe! Read our full review on them here!

Those red velvet ribbons on my wall were found from Duane Reade during their after-Christmas sale and they were just 20 cents each!
This outfit started with the Love tees found in an XL and SM at Old Navy’s kids’ section. The matching leopard sweater and cardi are from H&M and the fur slip on shoes are Target (mine), and from a Chinese wholesaler (hers). The snowflake wall decals are from Target.
