Custo Barcelona NYFW F/W 2018

Custo Barcelona’s Fall Winter 2018-19 collection was designed for women “wanting to freely express their individuality and strength in the face of life’s many challenges.” We knew he had a penchant for colors and prints so we wore a coordinated set of trendy velvet blues and wines, leopard coats and a floral print on my dress. And much to our expectation, the runway popped with colors that really came alive against the starck NYC dreary grey backdrop. His fabrics for this collection ranged from velvets, silks, jacquards, nylon and lace. And much of it shimmered and shined which caught the eye of both me and my little one. There was SO much sheen on everything from coats to maxis to minis! Going with the maximalist trend that I saw on a lot of runways this season, and staying true to his signature style, there was a focus on embellishment, pattern and fabric mixing and patchwork detailing.
We had a blast watching from the sidelines and were so thankful to make more mommy and me memories on the catwalk!

Loving girly glam myself, I felt quite at home amongst the glitter wall and thought the room was simply delightful! Rolling around on the pink shag carpeting, it was clear that Juliet felt quite at home too.
The sparkly room, inspired by beauty and instant photo booths from Japan, reminded us of our time exploring Harajuku, Japan an area and culture that Alice obviously subscribed to.
Alice enchanted us so much and was genuinely obsessed with her new little friend, Juliet that we reached out for a quick interview with questions compiled from both my little one and me.
