Petite Parade Fashion Show at Children’s Club

There we are to the left, sitting next to the runway.  I marvel at how I’m living my dream being able to take my daughter to these fashion shows.  As a little girl, I remember watching runway shows on TV wishing that I could one day see one live!  And here I am having not only attended hundreds of shows in my lifetime, but also sitting front row with my toddler in tow letting her watch the lineup before her very own eyes.

And I can’t get over how much she enjoys them so! Here she is doing her own sassy pre-show catwalk and dance.  (Where did she learn these moves???)

As always, she had to have her own turn on the runway.  So when I saw other moms post-show put their babies up on stage for a photo or two, I obliged mine.  And course, she didn’t want to ever get down from there. .

As you can see from the runway finale recap, there were so many fantastic looks on the Children’s Club Petite Parade runway! And for me, the accessories really made some of the looks!  Like check out this furry, royal crown and leopard oxfords on this handsome boy below.  Such a standout!  The crown is from Oh Baby!

Sometimes the socks stole the show!

Speaking of socks, don’t you just love how this bowtie below matched the socks?

I’m a sucker for girls in bowties.

I loved this mini model and her sword.  Now that’s a killer accessory!

She’s like an exotic warrior princess!

Juliet and I pointed out how so many of the kids wore those lace-up military style boots (which Juliet also owns).  Ooh how on-trend we were!

And check out this one’s mod look.  I love the mismatched socks, (too cute!) and that CROWN and dress!! AHH kids’ fashion has me like !!!

Here’s another sophisticated, modern look that proves that girls don’t have to just wear pink and purple to look fabulous!

Why the BKLYN ROCKS Kids’ Fashion Show Rocked

Juliet is just 3.5 but being the NYC minifashionista that she is, she has already seen over 20 fashion shows with me. The girl has seen a lot of runways.  And she has in turn made NY her runway.  Watch out world, she is taking the city streets by storm! So when we were invited to see the BKLYN ROCKS kids’ fashion show at City Point in Downtown Brooklyn November 9th, we knew we had to be there (if only to get to wear this outrageous outfit).

Janie And Jack shoes (bought 2nd hand), The Children’s Place socks, Gap tweed dress (bought 2nd hand), Cat and Jack for Target cape, (free) Hawaiian lei turned into a flower crown

Plus BKLYN ROCKS promised to be jam-packed with celebrities like Derek Jeter, Teresa Giudice (housewives of NJ), and Nigel Barker whose kids walked the runway in Haddad Brands clothes by Nike, Jordan, Levi’s and Converse.

The show opened with Fabolous giving a shout out to his Brooklyn roots and namesake non-profit organization A Fabolous Way, which helps New York communities in need. 

From having attended a Haddad Brands fashion show in the past, we knew we were in for some serious entertainment.

Similar to what Haddad Brands did at NY Fashion Week,they again featured additional entertainment in between shows with performers like Street Justice Crew and Bobbi Chambers of Broadway’s School of Rock as well as DJ Little Club Heads spinning live throughout the event.

There was a lot of action coming down this runway – even from the models themselves.   You didn’t just see your usual sashays..

Of all the kids’ fashion shows that we’ve seen, Haddad Brands definitely has the most swagger.

Not to mention some of the best music!

Look at little Juliet on the left taking in all the fashions!  She gets so into it!  She actually gets upset if she finds out that I went to a fashion show without her.
