Styling a Kids’ Valentine’s Photo Shoot with Danny Weiss

When renowned photographer, Danny Weiss asks you to collaborate on a kids’ project, you don’t say no.  I was so excited that I didn’t fret about having to charge all these clothes on my card and then have to return and pray that everything credited OK post-shoot…well almost. haha Luckily, all the borrowed clothes stayed in perfect condition and everything went just fine.

We aimed for a Valentine’s themed look, with lots of reds, some hearts and a lot of fun thrown in!

I want her to stay this little forever!

Keeping in line with the black, white and red color story, we shot the below series and danced along to some music.  The kids were too much!

Petite Parade Kids Fashion Show – Bow Trend

PetitePARADE, the bi-annual event and children’s marketing platform is something Juliet and I look forward to each fashion season.  Now that she’s a seasoned front row veteran (at age 3), she really enjoys anticipating seeing all the kids on the runway.  You can see her around the 14 second mark if you look closely at the above video!  And this time around she even told me, “When I’m a big girl, I want to walk in a fashion show too.”  Little does she know (or remember, I should say) that at age 10months, she did actually crawl down her first runway for Old Navy.

Anyways, this season, I was happy to find so many darling bows on the runway.  I found the bow trend was definitely a strong one for fall/winter 2016!  Imoga, Little Creative Factory, Baby CZ, and Sen-35 all featured this feminine frill.
