Hi, Stumbled across your site while researching event planning/fashion/culture blogs and sites. (I’m thinking of changing professions from interactive project management and marketing to event consulting. Just trying to get up to speed on trends and the industry.) Just curious, have you seen the ads for Sunglass Hut’s Fulltime Fabulous Contest for a fashion blogger in NYC with a $100k salary, free downtown apartment and world travel for a year? Though you look pretty happy with your job/life, it might be worth sending in a video today or tomorrow (contest ends Oct. 27 11:59pm EST). You’d be great in this role! Your blog and your style is one of the best I’ve seen. Will definitely be returning for tips. Just sayin’!! : )
Hi Jill, thanks for the compliments and feedback! And good luck on your career change. Just so you know, I was in the same boat too changing careers mid-Ph.D program (studying psychology). So I’m all for supporting people who pursue their passions.
I did see the Sunglass Hut promotion at fashion week’s tent and thought it was a pretty cool promo – thanks for the heads up. I didn’t enter but would be curious to see who won.
