Superhero Party – Gymboree’s Prom and Creative Capes
When I told Juliet we were going to a superhero party, she replied that that she was a princess not a superhero. (What a girly girl!) So I told her she could be a superhero with princess powers and showed her this beautiful personalized cape from Creative Capes and she was SOLD! All I did was dress up her 3rd birthday feather dress with her tiara, a broken light-up sabor and the pink/purple cape and accessories gifted to us from Creative Capes and KABOOM! She turned into SUPER PRINCESS J!
According to Creative Capes’ founder, Holly, “Something as simple as a cape has the power to positively affect a child’s self-esteem.” And it’s true! I got to watch the transformation right before my very eyes at Gymboree’s Superhero themed prom!
The photo booth area sponsored by Creative Capes, encouraged easy try-ons with a fun-filled cape and accessory station and comic-strip-style power signs. The kids loved dressing up and posing hero-style. It was a blast!
Boys and girls alike got into the superhero theme!
After having provided ideas for Gymboree’s members on how to accessorize what you had in your closet and transform ordinary outfits into super ones (click here for that previous post), I was excited to see how all the littles styled themselves! I loved that some even took the inspiration board to heart and bought the exact outfits I suggested!

The theme inspired everyone to soar through the air. And Gymboree is the perfect place for little ones to practice doing just that!
