Revolution Motherhood is a doctor-recommended, fitness method that teaches you how to fully recover from pregnancy and childbirth. And it’s for mothers at all stages of motherhood from new moms to moms who like me just want to have some self-care and re-focus on fitness. In the form of at-home, on-demand training or group classes found in Brooklyn and Manhattan, Rachel helps to rebuild deep core strength. She supports post-baby recovery and healing while helping students progress at their own pace all the while reclaiming their body.
Revolution Motherhood – NYC Fitness Program Review
Who is Rachel?
To me, she is a fellow mom and a friend-of-a-friend. She’s also that mom that inspires awe. (“How did you get those abs of steel and look like THAT after having 2 kids,” I madly wonder with insane jealousy!) Thankfully though, this mom is willing to share her secrets to health, wellness and fitness and she is SO knowledgeable, warm and at peace that you feel more confident, empowered and motivated just from listening to her.
Officially, she’s a certified yoga instructor, health and wellness coach and an advocate for positive psychology, principles of conscious living, and healing post – pregnancy. As a teacher, she’s extremely caring and available. Always checking in, encouraging and letting you know that she can help with personal questions, you’ll wonder whether you hired a teacher or a friend.
What is Revolution Motherhood?
What is Revolution Motherhood’s method?
Part rebuilding, support and education this method is unlike other workouts. I never expected to learn so much about the postnatal healing process that every mother goes through. It’s truly something every new mom needs to know, understand and appreciate. I wish I had discovered the program earlier as it would have helped me be more in tune with my body’s changes while dealing with issues of postnatal injuries and strengthening of the core.
Don’t worry, you won’t need to be at any certain fitness level to try this course. And there is no complicated choreography involved here. Rachel finely integrates movements from yoga, pilates, barre, and pelvic physical therapy. I found it so unique and helpful that she was so adept at merging PT into fitness. If you’re a mom, I’m sure you’ll love this offering too! Currently, she is the only method offering this path to women (and thus the revolution!) I love how she informs in an empowering, hopeful, positive manner all the while preaching maternal activism.
Classes are baby-friendly too! That’s right, you can bring your baby in to lie down/sit/workout besides you and not worry about childcare. They are held in Park Slope (Brooklyn) or in the FlatIron District of Manhattan.
