Fab Fete: Henri Bendel Store Opening at the Walt Whitman Mall
I wandered into the Henri Bendel store opening launch party last Friday at the end of my work day and found myself jam-packed shoulder-to-shoulder with other local fashionistas searching for their free drinks amongst all the accessories.
I’m a huge fan of the Bendel look. I love the brown and white stripes and polka dots and I’m completely in love with their fashion illustrations which I wrote about here. So I about died when I saw that Bendel’s famed illustrator, Izak Zenou was there. I think I actually jumped up and down. He has no idea how I have collected his images through the web, how I had saved about 50 of them to my hard drive and how his images make me so happy. So when I had heard that there was a chance to buy one of his images and have him personally sign one, I forgot all past intentions to save money and quit shopping (for at least the rest of the month) and found the offer too irresistible to squeal anything but a thrilled ‘yes!”
I hope to share an interview with the master artist with you all very soon!
Here’s what I took home (a photo booth booklet, complimentary shopping bag and signed print by Izak).
Comment here if you want my 20% off Bendel card! I’ll choose a winner the last day of this month!

WOW, what an awesome surpise to have him there. Sometimes we just have to forget adult goals and enjoy ourselves and get something that has personal meaning to us. Love the pictures!

That is so coool! I would love to read about the interview!
