Instagramable Vegas – 6 Instagramable Places on South Strip. + Photo Tips!
I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve visited Las Vegas between the many work trips, friends’ parties and family trips. But one thing is for certain! Vegas is super Instagramable with its flashy lights, extraordinary decor and the many over-the-top, sights. For those of you who don’t want to miss out on any of the photo fun, and love the sound of an Instagramable Vegas list, read on for 6 photogenic spots on the SOUTH side of the strip! And stay tuned for part 2 where I continue to share some favorite photo spots through the rest of the strip.
1) “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign 📍5100 Las Vegas Blvd South (south of the strip) across from the Bali Hai Golf Club at a median 💡TIP avoid the long lines to get that pic by simply stationing yourself on a diagonal with the sign and wait for the groups to change in/out. Then, when you see the sign clear, already be in position and have your photographer (or in my case my husband) snap away! That’s how we got the below shot in under a minute!
2). Luxor (Hotel)📍 3900 S Las Vegas Blvd. 💡 TIP head to the tram boarding area and aim for these shots as soon as the crowd clears and everyone has boarded. I took these on my own with my tripod.
If you’re just interested in pyramid shots you’ll easily be able to get one near the front entrance where they have the most beautiful florals and palms as well as from the pool (which only hotel guests have access to).
3) Excalibur (hotel). 📍 3850 S. Las Vegas Blvd. TIP This is such a stunning sight at night, I suggest you shoot then.
4). New York, NY (hotel) 📍 3790 S Las Vegas Blvd. 💡 TIP it’s within easy walking distance from the Luxor and the Excalibur so you can plan on shooting all 3 locations in one shoot if you like.
5). It’s Sugar 📍 3200 S. Las Vegas Blvd. TIP the whole store inside is photogenic but make sure to stop at the entrance for this 40 – ft. tall, super-sized gum ball machine!
6). Paris (Hotel) 📍 3655 S. Las Vegas Blvd. 💡 TIP have a selfie stick on hand to help you get that shot with the Eiffel Tower or if you don’t have one, have a brave friend run into the road when traffic stops to get you the distance you need to capture the tower behind you. Night shots from across the way look amazing too from the bridge or from the Bellagio side.
