Little black dresses are so chic that they’re a must-have for every closet and every season.  Every girl no matter her age needs a little black dress in her closet.  They’re a classic staple!  And finding cute black dresses for both mom and daughter is an easy way to have coordinated looks!  Here are my favorite, affordable mommy and me black dresses for the summer! What’s a house dress you ask? House dresses go back to pre and post-war years where housewives purchased simple patterned, machine washable dresses.  Like moo moo dresses, they are loose, comfortable and effortless.  Allowing for ease of movement they’re super functional while still looking ladylike.  And these days, there seems to be a resurgence in this classic cut.  Mine shown here was a thrifted vintage piece that I’m selling on Poshmark (follow me @stylishlystella).

(Designers such as: Acne, Marni & Rachel Comey have launched designer house dresses in their recent collections!)  I’m so happy to see this because this free-flowing frock fits all body types (even pregnant ones!)  It is truly figure – forgiving on even those of us who have gained the covid19(lbs).   Knowing the current economic situation for most of us, I’ve gathered the best house dresses inspired by these trend – setting designer collections.  These WON’T break the bank since they’re all from H&M and they will ship anywhere!
