Style Diary: Tiffany Blue cardigan

My co-worker told me I looked like a real-life Tiffany’s box.  I think he was right.

Here is my outfit from earlier this week.

The whole outfit actually began with me re-discovering the antique brooch.  I created the outfit around the brooch.

I pinned it onto the fur stole that I purchased super cheap and wore it with my Amanda Vinci cardigan and Anne Klein gold, shimmery dress.  I belted the outfit with this studded gold piece which helped counter the ladylike look and added a pop of color with my floral fuschia heels.  See the dress worn completely differently here.

I love this leather bow purse which I got for Christmas from Saks.  It’s by Red Valentino.

This is a mixture of David Yurman, Betsey Johnson (bow and chain) and Forever 21 (bangle) bracelets.

What do you think?

Style Diary: Shiny Sequin Tops

Sparkle. Glitter.  Sequin.

I love it all.  The girly girl in me cannot resist the shiny shiny.  I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to what I call glitter fashion (which you can view here).

Here are two outfits incorporating a shiny sequin top for work.

Saks had sold a bunch of sequin sweaters like this.  Alice & Olivia being one of the brands that sold one for about $200.  I found this one at H&M for about $30 and was surprised at the value I got given it was sequined both front and back – they didn’t skimp!  Here I paired it with my Bebe tuxedo blazer and a pair of black pants that I rolled up -they’re an oldie from H&M and the booties are from Aldo.

Here, I’m wearing the same pants with my Vince sweater that I purchased at off 5th, a free bracelet from the Forever 21 spring fashion presentation (can’t remember the brands for the other accessories and shoes) and yet another H&M sequin top for a fraction of the price.

How do you feel about sequins?  And have you figured out how to incorporate them into your everyday work wear?
